You start the engine,
You hear the sound,
You plunge the accelerator,
The pistons pound.
You find a road,
Put your foot to the floor,
You feel the speed,
Life matters no more.
You concentrate hard,
Stick to the curve,
You shift up a gear,
Don't lose your nerve.
You hear the sirens,
You see the lights,
You slow down and pull over,
But want to flea in the night.
You return home,
Everything is the same,
Another fine in your pocket,
You try to hide your shame.
You count the hours until you next drive,
So once again you can feel your alive

Hello everyone, it's terribly nice to meet you.
After a VERY long sabbatical from deviantART (well, art in general) I have decided it's time to revisit my long lost love.
You will be seeing a trickle of work from me in the future which will be done in spare moments of my increasingly hectic life.
I hope you enjoy your time spent on my page and that my 'art' is not a waste of your vision.
Yours sincerely, Gordon MacKinnon.
